what other non church type of groups do you serve in? I was wondering because I am always looking for ideas of stuff to join. Although sadly I have joined some different groups and it was just like the church. I was even on my local fire department and it was also just like church. No one ever contacted me or said sorry to see you leave when I resigned and no one ever tried to get to know me beyond small talk. It wasn't a brotherhood or family at all despite what people say. Just like a church.
